Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS, NBC Share Demo Crown

Here are the highlights of the 17 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (5/2/17):

CBS (10.573 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T1) shared in the demo honors on Tuesday with new episodes of "NCIS" (12.455 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2), "Bull" (10.643 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (8.623 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7).

NBC (5.938 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T1) then offered up originals from "The Voice" (8.706 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1), "Great News" (3.697 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #11), another "Great News" (2.634 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T15) and "Chicago Fire" (5.941 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3).

Next up was ABC (3.273 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) and its mix of "The Middle" (4.997 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #6), "American Housewife" (4.355 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3), "Fresh Off the Boat" (3.294 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7), "Imaginary Mary" (2.686 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T12) and "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (2.153 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T12).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.099 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) offered up a new "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (1.710 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T15), the season finale of "The Mick" (1.860 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T12) and a new "Prison Break" (2.414 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.9, #10).

And finally, fresh installments of "The Flash" (2.630 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7) and "iZombie" (0.985 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.3, #17) rounded out the night on The CW (1.807 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.6/4; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.3/2.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/1 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.3/5 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.3/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (5/3/16):

CBS (11.421 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T1) was the most-watched network on Tuesday with new episodes of "NCIS" (14.564 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1), "NCIS: New Orleans" (12.351 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.8, #2) and the return of "Person of Interest" (7.350 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6).

NBC (7.917 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T1) then shared in the demo honors with its trio of "The Voice" (8.418 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T3), "Chicago Med" (7.569 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.5, #5) and "Chicago Fire" (7.765 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T3).

Next up was The CW (2.380 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) with originals from "The Flash" (3.283 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6) and "Containment" (1.477 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T14).

Meanwhile, ABC (2.862 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4) offered up its mix of "Fresh Off the Boat" (4.247 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #8), "The Real O'Neals" (3.288 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9), "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (2.887 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T11) and the Friday-bound "Beyond the Tank" (1.934 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T14).
