Wednesday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS, "Big Brother" Top Charts

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (7/5/17):

CBS (4.717 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1) was the top draw on Wednesday with a new "Big Brother 19" (6.071 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) alongside a repeat "Criminal Minds" (4.161 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3) and a second "Criminal Minds" (3.919 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8).

NBC (3.871 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T2) then took home the silver with its mix of "Little Big Shots: Forever Young" (6.629 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.0, #2), "The Carmichael Show" (3.456 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3) and repeats of "The Carmichael Show" (2.737 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8) and "This Is Us" (1.889 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #14).

Next up was FOX (2.122 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T2) with rebroadcasts of "MasterChef" (2.511 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3) and "The F Word with Gordon Ramsay" (1.734 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8).

Meanwhile, ABC (2.958 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) offered up repeats of "The Goldbergs" (3.376 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3), "Speechless" (2.567 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #13), "Modern Family" (3.030 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3) and "American Housewife" (2.535 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8) plus the Monday-bound "To Tell the Truth" (3.122 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8).

And finally, repeats of "Arrow" (0.743 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T15) and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" (0.624 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T15) rounded out the night on The CW (0.683 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline," averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/1 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 0.9/3 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.5/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (7/6/16):

NBC (7.396 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) was still the network to beat on Wednesday with a recap edition of "America's Got Talent" (8.247 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) and a new "The Night Shift" (5.696 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4).

CBS (4.320 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2) then claimed the silver with its trio of "Big Brother 18" (6.099 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1), "Criminal Minds" (3.751 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T5) and "American Gothic" (3.110 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11).

Next up was FOX (3.158 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) with originals from "MasterChef" (3.959 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) and "Wayward Pines" (2.358 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T5).
