Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS, "Big Brother" Hold Off Competition

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (8/20/17):

CBS (4.897 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.9, #1) was the network to beat on another modest Sunday with its mix of "60 Minutes" (7.760 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4), "Big Brother 19" (6.422 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1), "Candy Crush" (2.385 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T12) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (3.021 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.4, #14).

ABC (4.503 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) then was a close second with repeats of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (4.718 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) and "Celebrity Family Feud" (5.071 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) followed by "Steve Harvey's Funderdome" (4.198 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4) and "$100,000 Pyramid" (4.024 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6).

Next up was NBC (2.716 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) with its coverage of the "U.S. Gymnastics Championships" (2.939 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9) and a repeat "American Ninja Warrior" (2.493 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9).

And finally, FOX (1.463 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) closed out the night with a full hour of "Golf Overrun" (0.987 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #15) followed by repeats of "The Simpsons" (1.570 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T12), "Family Guy" (1.587 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9), another "The Simpsons" (1.793 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6) and another "Family Guy" (1.854 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6).

NBC (14.526 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.5, #1) was the top draw on Sunday with its mix of its "Rio Gold" (10.782 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.5, #3) special, the conclusion to the "Olympic Games Rio 2016" (16.846 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.1, #1) and a special "The Voice" (10.411 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.7, #2).

ABC (4.553 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #2) then was a distant second with its mix of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (3.636 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9), "Celebrity Family Feud" (5.549 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #5), "$100,000 Pyramid" (4.821 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #6) and "Match Game" (4.210 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #7).

Next up was CBS (4.278 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) and its quartet of "60 Minutes" (6.771 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #8), "Big Brother 18" (5.923 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.8, #4), "Madam Secretary" (2.428 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T14) and "BrainDead" (1.992 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #17).
