Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: NFL Preseason Lifts NBC to Top Spot in Viewers, Demos

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (8/27/17):

NBC (6.238 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) took home top honors on Sunday with its coverage of "NFL Preseason: San Francisco 49ers at Minnesota Vikings" (6.416 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2). Leading off the night was a repeat of "Dateline NBC" (5.705 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #5).

Second place then went to FOX (2.593 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #2) with its mix of "NFL Overrun" (5.166 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3), "Bob's Burgers" (2.526 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T7), "The Simpsons" (2.231 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T7), "Family Guy" (1.997 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T9), another "The Simpsons" (1.854 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T9) and another "Family Guy" (1.781 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T9).

Next up was ABC (5.134 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T3) and its quartet of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (5.356 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #6), "Celebrity Family Feud" (6.386 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #4), "Steve Harvey's Funderdome" (4.318 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T9) and "$100,000 Pyramid" (4.477 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T13).

And finally, CBS (4.653 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T3) rounded out the night with "60 Minutes" (7.089 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T13), "Big Brother 19" (6.350 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1), "Candy Crush" (2.261 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #15) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (2.911 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #16).
