USA NETWORK'S "THE SINNER" IS THE #1 NEW CABLE SERIES OF 2017, WITH 4.7 MILLION VIEWERS TUNING IN TO ITS FINALE*

From Universal Cable Productions, Original 8-Part Series Strengthens USA Network's Standing as #1 Cable Entertainment Network

NEW YORK, NY - September 25, 2017 - USA Network's THE SINNER ended its season run on top, with the Wednesday, September 20 finale achieving season highs. The episode earned 1.990MM P18-49, 2.225MM P25-54 and 4.709MM P2+ viewers - claiming the #1 spot on cable for the night in P18-49, P25-54 and total viewers*.

From Universal Cable Productions and starring Jessica Biel (who also serves as executive producer), the critically acclaimed 8-episode series steadily grew in viewers as it built toward its finale. Overall, THE SINNER averaged 1.561MM P18-49, 1.797MM P25-54 and 3.848MM P2+, making it the #1 new cable series of the year in those demos.

THE SINNER was also the #1 new drama series of the summer in all of television (broadcast or cable) among P18-49, P25-54 and P18-34. And impressively, it was summer's #2 ad supported cable series (new or returning) in P2+ (behind only American Horror Story).

With four top 20 cable dramas among P18-49 and P2+ (THE SINNER, QUEEN OF THE SOUTH, SUITS and SHOOTER), USA Network won the summer as the #1 cable entertainment network in prime among P18-49, P25-54 and P2+. The network is on track to end 2017 as the #1 cable entertainment network among total viewers in prime for a record 12th straight year.

THE SINNER, available now on VOD, follows a young mother (Biel) who, when out with her husband (Christopher Abbott) and son, commits a startling act of violence and to her horror has no idea why. A detective (Bill Pullman) finds himself obsessed with uncovering the woman's buried motive, which launches an inverted and utterly surprising crime thriller whose driving force is not the "who" or the "what" -- but the "why."
