L+3 Monday Ratings: ABC's Good Doctor Claims the Top 2 Biggest Viewer Lifts of the Season With Another +5.0 Million Increase
Live + 3 Day Data for Monday, 10/2/17
The second episode of ABC's The Good Doctor picked up an additional +5.1 million Total Viewers after 3 days of TV playback, growing by more than +5.0 million viewers for the 2nd week in a row. In fact, The Good Doctor claims the two biggest Total Viewer L+3 increases on any network of the new season so far, as its +5.1 million viewer gain in week 2 tops the lifts for the premieres of NBC's This is Us (+4.8 million) and Will & Grace (+4.6 million) and CBS' The Big Bang Theory (+4.4 million) the prior week. The Good Doctor soared to 16.0 million Total Viewers after 3 days of TV playback (from 10.9 million in L+SD).
The new ABC drama tied its debut playback lift among Adults 18-49 with a +1.5 rating point jump over its L+SD rating. The Good Doctor spiked to a 3.7 L+3 rating (from a 2.2 in L+SD) to match its week-earlier debut. In addition, The Good Doctor grew over its debut by 4% in Women 18-49 (4.9 rating vs. 4.7 rating).
Growing to 16.0 million viewers and a 3.7 Adult 18-49 rating, The Good Doctor moved ahead of NBC's The Voice (12.9 million and 3.1 rating) to emerge as Monday's #2 show in the L+3 numbers, behind only CBS' The Big Bang Theory.
ABC's freshman drama was Monday's #1 gainer in playback in Total Viewers (+5.1 million) and Adults 18-49 (+1.5 rating points), topping the L+3 gains of runner-up Big Bang (+3.8 million and +1.3 rating points).
