Friday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops Viewers, Shares Demo Honors with NBC

Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/3/17):

CBS (8.250 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T1) was the most-watched broadcaster on Friday with its dramas "MacGyver" (7.158 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4), "Hawaii Five-0" (8.506 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) and "Blue Bloods" (9.089 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2).

NBC (4.754 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T1) however shared in the demo honors with "Blindspot" (3.463 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #6) and "Dateline NBC" (5.399 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1).

Next up was FOX (2.317 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) with fresh installments of "Hell's Kitchen" (3.095 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4) and "The Exorcist" (1.539 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7).

Meanwhile, ABC (2.298 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) offered up originals from "Once Upon a Time" (2.357 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7), "Marvel's Inhumans" (1.985 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7) and "20/20" (2.552 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7).

And finally, new episodes of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" (0.723 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T11) and "Jane the Virgin" (0.696 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T11) closed out the night on The CW (0.709 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.6/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/4/16):

CBS (8.862 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #1) was the first place draw on Friday with its trio of "MacGyver" (7.597 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T2), "Hawaii Five-0" (9.376 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #1) and "Blue Bloods" (9.612 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T2).

ABC (4.718 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) then snagged the silver with its mix of "Last Man Standing" (6.204 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T2), "Dr. Ken" (4.184 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T8), "Shark Tank" (5.200 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T2) and "20/20" (3.762 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T8).

Next up was NBC (4.094 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) with its duo of "Caught on Camera with Nick Cannon" (2.736 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #11) and "Dateline NBC" (4.773 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #7).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.643 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) offered up fresh installments of "Hell's Kitchen" (3.355 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T2) and "The Exorcist" (1.932 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #10).
