Monday's Broadcast Ratings: NBA Special Powers ABC to Christmas Victory

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (12/25/17):

ABC (5.463 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) got a Christmas Day boost from its "NBA Special: Houston Rockets at Oklahoma City Thunder" (5.842 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) and a repeat of "Black-ish" (3.567 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4).

NBC (4.201 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) then claimed the silver with encores of the animated "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (5.308 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2) and the feature "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (3.980 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3).

Next up was CBS (3.979 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) and its repeat lineup of "The Big Bang Theory" (5.316 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #5), "Kevin Can Wait" (4.078 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6), "Young Sheldon" (4.325 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6), "Man with a Plan" (3.633 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8) and "Scorpion" (3.262 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.437 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) served up second runs of "Taraji's White Hot Holidays" (1.739 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #10) and "The Gifted" (1.137 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T11).

And finally, rebroadcasts of "iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2017" (1.021 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T11) and "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.729 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #13) on The CW (0.948 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) rounded out the holiday evening.

In late-night metered market ratings (via NBC's press release):

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.5/4 with an encore telecast; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.6/4 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.6/4 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.6/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.2/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/4 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 0.7/3 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.1/1 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

CBS (3.909 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2) then claimed the silver with its lineup of "Kevin Can Wait" (4.855 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4), "Man with a Plan" (4.049 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5), another "Kevin Can Wait" (3.822 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5), another "Man with a Plan" (3.632 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #7) and "Scorpion" (3.548 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.447 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) offered up second runs of "Gotham" (1.337 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T11) and "Lucifer" (1.557 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #10).
