Friday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS, NCAA Continue Their Reign

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (3/23/18):

CBS (6.462 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) was the top draw on Friday with its mix of "NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament" (6.193 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2), "NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Update" (4.830 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3) and more "NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament" (7.683 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1).

FOX (2.762 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2) then was a distant second with a new "MasterChef Junior" (3.334 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) and a repeat "9-1-1" (2.191 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T9).

Next up was NBC (3.327 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3) and its trio of "Blindspot" (3.363 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5), "Taken" (2.904 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T9) and "Dateline NBC" (3.715 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5).

Meanwhile, ABC (2.424 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3) offered up originals from "Once Upon a Time" (2.299 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T9), "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (2.029 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7) and "20/20" (2.944 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7).

And finally, new episodes of "Dynasty" (0.671 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T12) and "Jane the Virgin" (0.650 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T12) rounded out the night on The CW (0.660 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3; "Late Show," delayed by NCAA basketball; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.1/4 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," delayed by NCAA basketball. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," delayed by NCAA basketball.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

Next up was ABC (4.203 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) and new episodes of "Last Man Standing" (6.045 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T4) and "Dr. Ken" (4.258 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T6) followed by a repeat "Shark Tank" (3.602 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T8) and a new "20/20" (3.858 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T8).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.020 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) offered up a repeat "Rosewood" (8.662 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T10) alongside a new "Sleepy Hollow" (7.658 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T10).

And finally, fresh installments of "The Originals" (1.004 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #12) and "Reign" (0.765 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #13) rounded out the night on The CW (0.884 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5).
