Wednesday's Broadcast Ratings: Dramas Keep Adults 18-49 Crown at FOX

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (10/3/18):

FOX (4.525 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) held off the demo competition on Wednesday with originals from "Empire" (5.014 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T1) and "Star" (4.036 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T7).

NBC (8.164 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then was a close second with its crossover lineup of "Chicago Fire" (7.986 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4), "Chicago Med" (8.751 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4) and "Chicago PD" (7.755 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T7).

Next up was ABC (4.463 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) and its mix of "The Goldbergs" (5.108 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4), "American Housewife" (4.434 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T9), "Modern Family" (5.345 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3), "Single Parents" (4.275 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T9) and "A Million Little Things" (3.808 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11).

Meanwhile, CBS (5.581 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) offered up week two of "Survivor: David vs. Goliath" (7.230 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T1) followed by the return of "SEAL Team" (5.077 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T11) and "Criminal Minds" (4.437 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #13).

And finally, the season finale of "Burden of Truth" (0.700 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T14) and a repeat "Supergirl" (0.425 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T14) rounded out the evening on The CW (0.562 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5).

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.1/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households and a 0.1/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

FOX (5.234 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1) was back in front among adults 18-49 on Wednesday with new episodes of "Empire" (5.824 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.9, #T1) and "Star" (4.644 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T5).

CBS (7.509 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T2) then was the most-watched network with its trio of "Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers" (8.006 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T3), "SEAL Team" (8.358 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T9) and "Criminal Minds" (6.164 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #11).
