Wednesday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Demos; CBS Leads Total Viewers

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (12/26/18):

NBC (4.296 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #1) was the demo champ on a modest Wednesday with its repeat lineup of "Chicago Fire" (4.043 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3), "Chicago Med" (4.363 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) and "Chicago PD" (4.482 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1).

CBS (5.393 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T2) then was the most-watched network thanks to its special "The 41st Annual Kennedy Center Honors" (6.581 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) and a repeat "Magnum P.I." (3.018 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13).

Next up was ABC (2.365 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T2) and its mix of "The Goldbergs" (3.366 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1), "American Housewife" (2.605 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3), "Modern Family" (2.515 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3), "Single Parents" (2.023 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8), another "Modern Family" (1.966 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8) and another "Single Parents" (1.716 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.507 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) served up repeats of "Empire" (1.739 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8) and "Star" (1.276 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11).

And finally, second runs of "Riverdale" (0.475 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T14) and "All American" (0.314 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T14) on The CW (0.395 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5) rounded out the night.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 0.9/3 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.5/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.1/1 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

FOX (2.779 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2) then was a close second with its annual telecast of the "Foster Farms Bowl" (2.779 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3).
