Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: "Big Bang Theory" Puts CBS on Top

Here are the highlights of the 17 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (3/7/19):

CBS (8.258 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #1) was the network to beat on Thursday thanks to new episodes of "The Big Bang Theory" (12.781 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.1, #1), "Young Sheldon" (11.507 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2), "Mom" (8.402 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #4), "Fam" (5.722 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T6) and "SWAT" (5.569 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T6).

ABC (5.060 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #2) then was the number two draw with a new "Grey's Anatomy" (6.609 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3) followed by the return of "Station 19" (5.375 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #5) and "For the People" (3.196 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10).

Next up was FOX (2.518 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) with fresh installments of "Gotham" (2.110 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10) and "The Orville" (2.926 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10).

Meanwhile, NBC (2.424 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) offered up the return of "Superstore" (3.074 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #8) and "AP Bio" (1.881 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T14); new episodes from "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (1.990 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10) and "Will & Grace" (2.634 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #9); plus a repeat "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (2.483 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T14).

And finally, The CW (1.076 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night with new episodes of "Supernatural" (1.299 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.4, #16) and "Legacies" (0.852 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.2, #17).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/2 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.5/4; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/5. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.5/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.1/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
