Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: College Basketball Gives CBS Another Boost

Here are the highlights of the 18 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (3/31/19):

CBS (9.356 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) got another boost on Sunday thanks to its "NCAA Overrun" (18.165 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.2, #1) followed by new episodes of "60 Minutes" (11.141 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2), "God Friended Me" (8.007 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (6.778 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7) and "Madam Secretary" (4.830 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T12).

ABC (6.821 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2) then claimed the silver with a new "America's Funniest Home Videos" (5.737 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5) and an expanded three-hour "American Idol" (7.182 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3).

Next up was FOX (1.701 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) with repeats of "The Simpsons" (1.227 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.4, #15) and "Bob's Burgers" (1.296 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T12) followed by a new "The Simpsons" (2.059 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7), another repeat "Bob's Burgers" (1.657 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9), a new "Family Guy" (2.160 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5) and a second run "Family Guy" (1.806 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9).

Meanwhile, NBC (2.586 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) offered up a repeat "Ellen's Game of Games" (1.748 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T16) alongside originals from "World of Dance" (3.213 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9) and "Good Girls" (2.169 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T12).

And finally, new episodes of "Supergirl" (1.067 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T16) and "Charmed" (0.738 million viewers, #18; adults 18-49: 0.2, #18) closed out the night on The CW (0.902 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5).
