Monday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Viewers, Shares Demo Crown with ABC

Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (5/20/19):

NBC (6.678 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T1) was the top draw on Monday thanks to the penultimate "The Voice" (7.852 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T1) and the season finale of "The Enemy Within" (4.330 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7).

ABC (3.980 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T1) then shared in the demo honors with a new "The Bachelorette" (4.509 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T1) and the finale to "The Fix" (2.924 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T9).

Next up was CBS (4.630 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) with repeats of "The Big Bang Theory" (5.758 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4), another "The Big Bang Theory" (6.039 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3), a new "The Code" (4.919 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5) and the annual "The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special 2019" (3.072 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T9).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.480 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) served up the return of "Beat Shazam" (2.476 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5) and a repeat "9-1-1" (2.484 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7).

And finally, The CW (0.934 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) closed out the night with the season finale of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" (1.097 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #11) and an encore of "Roswell: Mysteries Decoded" (0.771 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.1, #12).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.3/2; "Late Show," 0.4/2 and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.0/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.1/1.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.5/3 in metered-market households and a 0.1/1 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (5/21/18):

ABC (8.658 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) snapped the Peacock's 10-week winning streak on Monday with the season finales of "Dancing with the Stars" (8.669 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3) and "American Idol" (8.652 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1).

NBC (6.774 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then had to settle for the silver with new episodes from "The Voice" (8.607 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #2) and "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" (3.107 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #8).

Next up was CBS (5.009 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) with its mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (6.304 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3), the season finale of "Man with a Plan" (5.660 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T5), another "The Big Bang Theory" (5.459 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T5), "Mom" (4.328 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #7) and a new "Elementary" (4.151 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T10).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.354 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) served up its presentation of "Miss USA 2018" (2.354 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #9).

And finally, originals from "Supergirl" (1.770 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T10) and "iZombie" (1.078 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #12) on The CW (1.424 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) rounded out the evening.
