Friday's Broadcast Ratings: "WWE SmackDown" Keeps FOX on Top in Demos

Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/17/20):

FOX (2.580 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #1) remained the demo champ on Friday with its telecast of "WWE SmackDown" (2.580 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #1).

CBS (5.420 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T2) was the most-watched network despite its all-repeat lineup of "Hawaii Five-0" (5.487 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T2), "Magnum P.I." (5.177 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T2) and "Blue Bloods" (5.597 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4).

Next up was NBC (3.776 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T2) with week two of "Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector" (3.783 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T8) and "Dateline NBC" (3.772 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4).

Meanwhile, ABC (3.106 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T2) served up the return of "American Housewife" (3.430 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4) and "Fresh Off the Boat" (2.408 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T8) plus a new "20/20" (3.200 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4).

And finally, The CW (0.512 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5) closed the evening with the winter premieres of "Charmed" (0.676 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.2, #10) and "Dynasty" (0.349 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.1, #11).

CBS (6.868 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1) was the top draw on Friday thanks to originals from "MacGyver" (6.899 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T1) and "Hawaii Five-0" (7.553 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T1) plus a repeat "Blue Bloods" (6.151 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7).

ABC (4.189 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1) then shared in the demo honors with its mix of "Fresh Off the Boat" (3.438 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3), "Speechless" (2.590 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7) and a two-hour "20/20" (4.777 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3).

FOX (3.051 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1) likewise was tops among adults 18-49 with repeats of "Last Man Standing" (3.859 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3) and "The Cool Kids" (3.040 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7) alongside a new "Hell's Kitchen" (2.653 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3).

Meanwhile, NBC (3.406 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) served up new episodes of "Blindspot" (3.054 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7), "The Blacklist" (4.037 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7) and "Dateline NBC" (3.127 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7).

And finally, the return of "Dynasty" (0.664 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13) and a new "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" (0.475 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T13) on The CW (0.570 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) rounded out the night.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.8/5; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.7/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/4 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.1/4 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
