Friday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Dramas Top Viewers, Demos

Here are the highlights of the 10 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (5/1/20):

CBS (7.153 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #1) was the top draw on Friday with its mix of "MacGyver" (5.891 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #5), "Magnum P.I." (7.101 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T2) and the season finale of "Blue Bloods" (8.468 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T2).

NBC (4.570 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2) was a close second with its duo of "The Blacklist" (4.545 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6) and "Dateline NBC" (4.583 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T2).

Next up was ABC (3.480 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3) with a new "Shark Tank" (4.848 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #1) and a repeat "20/20" (2.795 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.4, #8).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.919 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3) offered up another edition of "WWE SmackDown" (1.919 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6).

And finally, The CW (0.488 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5) closed out the night with the season finale of "Charmed" (0.639 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.2, #9) and a new "Dynasty" (0.336 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.1, #10).

CBS (6.688 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #1) was the network to beat on Friday thanks to its trio of "MacGyver" (5.327 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4), "Hawaii Five-0" (6.644 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T2) and "Blue Bloods" (8.093 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #1).

Second place then went to NBC (3.927 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2) and its lineup of "The Blacklist" (4.247 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4) and a two-hour "Dateline NBC" (3.767 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4).

Next up was ABC (3.351 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3) and its special "ScreenTime: Diane Sawyer Reporting" (3.533 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8) followed by "20/20" (2.987 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T8).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.660 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3) offered up originals from "Last Man Standing" (4.192 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T2), "The Cool Kids" (3.107 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4) and "Proven Innocent" (1.670 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #10).

And finally, a new "Dynasty" (0.448 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T11) and repeats of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.565 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T11) and another "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" · In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.7/4 with an encore telecast; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.7/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.5/4 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/2 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.0/4 with an encore in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
