Monday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Charts with "American Ninja Warrior" Special

Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (8/31/20):

NBC (3.246 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.5, #1) was still the network to beat on Monday thanks to "American Ninja Warrior: All Stars Skills Challenge Special" (3.479 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.5, #1) and a repeat "Dateline NBC" (2.782 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T2).

CBS (2.330 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.3, #2) took home the silver with its mix of "The Neighborhood" (3.424 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T2), "Young Sheldon" (2.943 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T2), a new "Love Island" (1.613 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) and "Bull" (2.193 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T6).

Meanwhile, ABC (1.509 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T3) offered up the penultimate week of "The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons - Ever!" (1.509 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T6) while FOX (1.140 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T3) opted for the feature "Love the Coopers" (1.140 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T6).

And finally, The CW (0.879 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5) closed out the night with a new "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.931 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T6), a repeat "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.868 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T6) and a new "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (0.859 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.1, #11).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.3/2 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.2/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.3/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline," averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.8/3 with an encore in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 0.7/3 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 with an encore in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.1/1 with an encore.
