SEASON SIX PREMIERE OF "BETTER CALL SAUL" DELIVERS BIGGEST DAY OF NEW SUBSCRIBER SIGN-UPS IN AMC+ HISTORY

Two-Episode Premiere Event Delivers Record Subscriber Gains for Fast-Growing Streaming Service, Remarkable Level of Social Buzz and Engagement and Strong Live/Same Day Linear Viewership

NEW YORK - April 19, 2022 - AMC Networks today announced that the two-episode premiere event kicking off the sixth and final season of Better Call Saul delivered the biggest day of new direct-to-consumer subscriber sign-ups in the history of its fast-growing AMC+ streaming service, in addition to a remarkable level of social buzz and engagement and strong linear viewership.

"It has been a long two-year wait for this final season of Better Call Saul, and the fans of the show met the moment of its return with a response befitting everything this remarkable creative team has delivered," said Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks. "Whether streaming on AMC+, watching on our linear ad-supported network or engaging on social media, the fans showed up and last night was just the beginning of what will be an unforgettable final season of what has become a landmark series for our company and all of television."

The first episode of the premiere event, "Wine and Roses," is now the #1 cable drama premiere of 2022, delivering 1.4 million total viewers in Nielsen live/same day ratings and more than 500,000 adults 25-54.

In terms of social activity, Better Call Saul garnered more than half a million engagements across social platforms on the day of the season six premiere, up more than 60 percent from the level of activity surrounding the season five premiere. The show trended nationally on Twitter for more than 10 hours and was the #1 television drama in social engagement, organic search, conversation and content shares, according to ListenFirst.

AMC Networks ended 2021 with more than 9 million subscribers across its portfolio of targeted streaming services, including AMC+, and expects to have between 20 and 25 million subscribers in 2025.

New episodes of Better Call Saul appear on AMC+ and AMC every Monday night at 9 p.m. through May 23 for the first half of this sixth and final season. After a brief hiatus, new episodes return on July 11 for the final six episodes of this popular and critically acclaimed series. This final season concludes the complicated journey and transformation of its compromised hero, Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk), into criminal lawyer Saul Goodman. From the cartel to the courthouse, from Albuquerque to Omaha, season six tracks Jimmy, Saul, and Gene as well as Jimmy's complex relationship with Kim (Rhea Seehorn) who is in the midst of her own existential crisis. Meanwhile, Mike (Jonathan Banks), Gus (Giancarlo Esposito), Nacho (Michael Mando) and Lalo (Tony Dalton) are locked into a game of cat and mouse with mortal stakes.
