"Tonight Show" Continues Its Digital Dominance Hitting a Record 30 Million Subscribers on You Tube

NEW YORK - Aug. 16, 2022 - Against all original competition, "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" has now won three consecutive weeks in the 18-49 demo.

For the week of Aug. 8-12, "The Tonight Show" registered an 0.20 in the demo, compared to 0.19 for Colbert. The top shows of the week were Monday (guest Idris Elba) and Thursday (co-host Megan Thee Stallion).

For the current season, both "The Tonight Show" and "Late Show" are tied in the 18-49 demo. In year over year results in total viewers, "Tonight Show" is even while "Late Show" has lost 5%. "Jimmy Kimmel Live" is down 9%.

"The Tonight Show," which is the #1 late-night program on digital, just set the record in late-night by hitting 30M subscribers on YouTube. It has more total followers and subscribers than any of its competitors.

The Tonight Show has the most-followed or subscribed-to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube accounts across all of late night. Plus, the show has more total social followers than every other late-night program.

In addition to leading the late-night set on digital, the "Tonight Show" is also #1 when it comes to younger audiences on linear. Season to date, "The Tonight Show" is the most-watched late-night program for adults 18-34 years-old.

Global sensation Demi Lovato returns to Studio 6B tonight for their ninth appearance and first "Tonight Show" takeover ahead of the release of their new album "Holy Fvck." They co-hosts with Fallon on Wednesday and performs on Thursday. Wednesday's show includes a sit-down with Kenan Thompson, longtime "Saturday Night Live" vet and host of the Sept. 12 Emmy Awards on NBC.
