Sunday's Nine-Hour Window on NBC and Peacock Averages 6.2 Million Viewers - Largest Final Round Audience Since 2019

Led by Peacock, 500+ Million Minutes Streamed - Most Streamed Golf Event in NBC Sports History

STAMFORD, Conn. - June 20, 2023 - NBC Sports' comprehensive coverage of the 2023 U.S. Open at The Los Angeles Country Club was the most-watched edition of the event since 2019, delivering viewership and consumption milestones across NBCU broadcast, cable and streaming platforms.

Sunday's final round on NBC, Peacock and NBC Sports Digital averaged 8.8 million viewers in primetime and peaked at 10.2 million viewers from 9:30-9:45 p.m. ET, as Wyndham Clark held off Rory McIlroy to win by a shot and earn his first major championship.

Full final round coverage on NBC, Peacock and NBC Sports Digital (1-10:09 p.m. ET) delivered an average of 6.2 million viewers, to rank as the most-watched U.S. Open final round since 2019 at Pebble Beach (featuring Tiger Woods carding his tournament best -2 to finish 21st).

Led by Peacock, a record average minute audience (AMA) of 304,000 viewers streamed Sunday's final round - marking the third time in four days of Peacock coverage that NBC Sports set a record for most-streamed golf round.

Across 47 hours of live championship coverage on NBC, Peacock and USA Network, the 2023 U.S. Open averaged a Total Audience Delivery of 3.4 million viewers - the best mark since 2019, and up 27% from last year (2.7 million) and a 9% increase from the last west coast U.S. Open (3.2 million at Torrey Pines in 2021).

Total Audience Delivery is based upon live-plus-same day fast national figures from Nielsen and digital data from Adobe Analytics.

Additional viewership milestones and notes:

· Primetime coverage on NBC, Peacock and NBC Sports Digital across the four nights averaged 4.8 million viewers - best since 2019 and up 25% from 2021.

· First- and second-round coverage on USA Network averaged a TAD of 1.48 million viewers, highlighted by Friday's second round (1-8 p.m. ET) which was the most watched second round on cable since 2013 (1.76 million viewers).

· The 2023 U.S. Open is the most-streamed golf event in NBC Sports history - with more than 502 million minutes streamed across Peacock, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.
