ABC NEWS' 'NIGHTLINE' RANKS NO. 1 IN ALL TARGET DEMOS - TOTAL VIEWERS, ADULTS 25-54 AND ADULTS 18-49 - FOR 4TH STRAIGHT WEEK

Season to Date, 'Nightline' Is Posting Gains in Total Viewers

Week of June 19, 2023:

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (750,000), Adults 25-54 (167,000) and Adults 18-49 (102,000) for the 4th straight week during the week of June 19, 2023, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. In addition, "Nightline" finished No. 1, beating CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the 7th week in a row.

"Nightline" posted year-to-year gains in Total Viewers (+9% - 750,000 vs. 691,000).

Season to date, "Nightline" is growing compared to the same point last season in Total Viewers (+2% - 899,000 vs. 878,000). In addition, "Nightline" leads CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49.

During this week, "Nightline" covered ABC News Studios' "Soul of a Nation" special, "Hip-Hop @ 50: Rhythms, Rhymes & Reflections"; the TikTok cancer story exposed as grifting scam; the missing Titanic tourist submersible; James Cameron's thoughts on submersible's "catastrophic implosion"; "Good Morning America" co-anchor Robin Roberts' interview with Victor Wembanyama; the latest episode of "Impact x Nightline," which featured four ex-FLDS mothers who fear for their missing children's safety; 25 Years of "Sex and the City" and more.

NOTE: On Thursday (6/22/23), "Nightline" was retitled to "NL-ABC" due to ABC's coverage of the NBA Draft. The retitled telecast is excluded from the weekly averages. "Nightline"'s weekly averages are based on four days (Monday-Wednesday and Friday). In addition, for the week, CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" was retitled to "The Late Late Show-JC-ENC" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" was retitled to "Seth Meyers-SM." ABC News' "Nightline" averaged 868,000 Total Viewers, 217,000 Adults 25-54 and 146,000 Adults 18-49 during the 2nd Quarter 2023, based on Most Current Data from Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" beat CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in Adults 25-54 (+4,000 - 217,000 vs. 213,000) during 2Q23.
