ABC NEWS' 'NIGHTLINE' RANKS NO. 1 IN TOTAL VIEWERS VS. CBS' 'AFTER MIDNIGHT' AND NBC'S 'LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS' FOR 4TH CONSECUTIVE WEEK

Season to Date, 'Nightline' Ranks No. 1 in All Key Demos, Leading in Overall Viewers and in the Key Adult News Demo for the 3rd Straight Year

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (913,000) for the week of Sept. 30, 2024, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research, leading CBS' "After Midnight" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" for the 4th week in a row.

· On Monday (9/30/24), "Nightline" turned in its top telecast in Adults 18-49 (313,000) in 9 months and best performance in Adults 25-54 (396,000) in 4 months - since 1/15/24 and 6/6/24, respectively.

· Season to date, "Nightline" ranks No. 1 in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49, leading in overall viewers and in the key Adult news demo for the 3rd straight year. In addition, "Nightline" is up in Total Viewers (+5% - 996,000 vs. 948,000) versus the comparable weeks last season, posting its largest Total Viewer audience in 5 years - since the 2019-2024 season.

· This week, "Nightline" covered Sean "'Diddy" Combs indictment; the vice-presidential debate; Hurricane Helene; Jimmy Carter turning 100; the massive Iranian attack on Israel; ABC News Studios' new documentary, "Patrice: The Movie," which explores disabled community's marriage obstacles; Daniel Dae Kim tackling Asian American visibility in his new play, "Yellow Face;" re-examination of evidence in the Menendez brothers trial; "IMPACT x Nightline's" newest episode about the story behind the Hollywood feel-good movie "The Blind Side," and more.

NOTE: On Friday (10/4/24), CBS' "After Midnight" was retitled to "After Midnight-ENC," and NBC's "Seth Meyers" was retitled to "Seth Meyers-SM" due to being repeats. CBS' and NBC's weekly averages are based on four days (Monday-Thursday).
