ABC NEWS' 'NIGHTLINE' RANKS NO. 1 IN TOTAL VIEWERS AND ADULTS 18-49 VS. CBS' 'AFTER MIDNIGHT' AND NBC'S 'LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS'

'Nightline' Builds on Previous Week in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49, Drawing Its Largest Overall Audience Since February 2025

'Nightline' Posts Strongest Performances in Both Key Adult Demos Since January 2025

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (759,000) and Adults 18-49(103,000) for the week of April 21, 2025, based on Live+Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research, beating CBS' "After Midnight" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers."

· "Nightline" improved on the previous week in Total Viewers (+5% - 759,000 vs. 723,000), Adults 25-54 (+6% - 150,000 vs. 141,000) and Adults 18-49 (+27% - 103,000 vs. 81,000), drawing its largest overall audience since February and strongest performance in both key Adult demos since January - since weeks of 2/24/25, 1/27/25 and 1/13/25, respectively.

· This week "Nightline" covered the Karen Read retrial; the identities of two murder victims potentially linked to the Gilgo Beach killings; the top picks and biggest upsets from the first night of the NFL Draft; Tina Knowles' new memoir, "Matriarch"; a new petition filed by convicted murderer Scott Peterson and the Los Angeles Innocence Project, arguing they have new evidence exonerating him in the murder of his wife and unborn son; Michelle Williams taking center stage in "Death Becomes Her"; the grand "Star Wars" celebration held in Japan and more.

NOTE: On Friday (4/25/25), "Nightline" was retitled to "NL." For the week, CBS' "After Midnight" was retitled to "After Midnight-ENC" and NBC's "Seth Meyers" was retitled to "Seth Meyers-SM" due to being repeats. "Nightline's weekly averages are based on four days (Monday-Thursday).
