'Dancing with the Stars' Continues Historic Hot Streak - Rising for Fourth Straight Week Since Premiere With 6 Million Total Viewers
Fan Voting Sets Another Astonishing New Record With Over 50 Million Votes Cast
'High Potential' Dominates 10 p.m. Hour
ABC dominated its all-original broadcast competition on Tuesday night, including the season premieres of CBS's "NCIS" lineup, ranking No. 1 among both Total Viewers (5.37 million) and Adults 18-49 (0.95 rating) with spectacular performances for "Dancing with the Stars" and "High Potential."
"Dancing with the Stars" (8 p.m. ET/PT)
· "Dancing with the Stars" once again topped Tuesday night with its powerful "Dedication Night" episode, earning 5.98 million Total Viewers and a 1.26 rating among Adults 18-49, hitting a new season high in overall viewers and matching a season high in the key Adult demo.
· Incredibly, among Adults 18-34 (1.53 rating), Tuesday's episode scored the series' best telecast in nearly 10 years - since 11/23/15.
· Continuing the show's unprecedented growth this season, "Dancing with the Stars" grew for the fourth straight week since premiere, rising over last week's "Disney Night" among Total Viewers (+2% - 5.98 million vs. 5.88 million).
· Leading the 8-10 p.m. time period, "Dancing with the Stars" (5.98 million and 1.26 rating, respectively) led its broadcast competition on NBC (4.77 million and 0.36 rating, respectively, with "The Voice") and CBS (4.50 million and 0.27 rating, respectively, with season premieres of "NCIS" and "NCIS: Origins") in both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49.
· Once again, "Dancing with the Stars" was the No. 1 most social television program across broadcast and cable, scoring 4 million total social interactions, making "Dedication Night" the top-performing episode this season.
· Fan voting jumped week to week yet again, reaching a new high of 50.15 million votes cast (+11% vs. 45 million votes cast on 10/7).
"High Potential" (10 p.m. ET/PT)
· In its Live+Same Day performance, "High Potential" dominated the 10 p.m. hour with 4.15 million Total Viewers and a 0.33 rating among Adults 18-49, leading its closest competition among Total Viewers, the premiere of CBS's "NCIS: Sydney," (+47%; vs. 2.81 million), along with the combined average of both NBC and CBS in Adults 18-49 (+6% - 0.33 rating vs. 0.31 rating).
· In addition, "High Potential" now stands as TV's No. 1 entertainment series this season among Total Viewers (7.47 million, through Sunday, 10/5), after seven days of traditional linear viewing.
· Season two continues to generate strong interest on streaming, with the premiere episode garnering a staggering 20.0 million Total Viewers across linear and streaming on ABC, Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ and digital platforms through 10/15/25.
"Dancing with the Stars" returns Tuesday, Oct. 21, for "Wicked Night" (airing at 8 p.m. EDT/PDT on ABC and Disney+, streaming next day on Hulu). Special guest judge Jon M. Chu, director of last year's Oscar(R)-winning "Wicked" and this year's epic "Wicked: For Good," joins the panel to provide expert insights as the couples dance to the films' iconic soundtracks in the Ozdust Ballroom.
