'American Idol' Leads Monday Night - Powering ABC to Another Victory in Both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49
Show Posts Largest Margin Ever Over NBC's 'The Voice' - Leading by a Whopping +56% Among Total Viewers
· "American Idol" kept up the momentum with "Hollywood Week in Music City - Part 2" on Monday night, standing as the No. 1 show of the night in Total Viewers (5.19 million) and Adults 18-49 (0.42 rating - tied).
· The show expanded its astonishing lead over NBC's "The Voice" (9-11 p.m. ET/PT) among Total Viewers (+56% - 5.19 million vs. 3.32 million), with "American Idol" (8-10 p.m. ET/PT) scoring its biggest margin of victory ever over the NBC show for the second consecutive week during its nine-season run on ABC.
· "American Idol"'s strong performance also lifted ABC to a Monday night win across broadcast and cable in both Total Viewers (4.32 million) and Adults 18-49 (0.36 rating).
· Across social media, "American Idol" was the No. 1 most social entertainment program of the night, earning 354,600 total social interactions across platforms.
Coming up next week (Monday, March 9, on ABC, streaming next day on Hulu), the show heads to the "Ohana Round" at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawai'i, where hopefuls take the stage in an all-new round to perform for their own families, industry tastemakers, and their fellow hopefuls. In the end, only 20 will move forward.
