'R.J. Decker' Gets Down to Business With Over 11 Million Total Audience to Date for Series Debut
ABC's Newest Addition To Juggernaut Tuesday Draws Network's Best 10 p.m. Drama Premiere Numbers in Over Five Years
'R.J. Decker' Beats Combined Averages of Broadcast Competition at 10 p.m.
· "R.J. Decker" made a bold statement with its series debut on ABC's Tuesday night, earning a total multiplatform audience to date of 11.64 million viewers across ABC, Hulu, Hulu on Disney+, digital platforms and linear encores through six days.
· Starring Scott Speedman as a former newspaper photographer and ex-con starting his life over as a private investigator, "R.J. Decker" scored a resounding win at 10 p.m. based on linear viewing over three days (5.25 million), beating the combined averages (4.81 million) of CBS (3.60 million for "NCIS: Sydney") and NBC (1.21 million for the network's NBA coverage).
· ABC ranked No. 1 on Tuesday night in Live+Same Day viewership from 8-11 p.m. (4.42 million), topping the return of CBS' all-original "NCIS" lineup by +19%. In addition, "R.J. Decker" (3.69 million) delivered the best 10 p.m. drama debut on ABC among Total Viewers in over five years based on Live+Same Day - since the premiere of "Big Sky" on 11/17/20.
· In fact, "R.J. Decker" was the most compatible telecast to air following "High Potential" to date, with 73% of the hit drama's live audience flowing through to the series debut.
Coming up this week (Tuesday, March 10, at 10 p.m. on ABC, streaming next day on Hulu), Wish enlists R.J.'s help on a bizarre case when his late cellmate's son is wrongly accused of murder.
