STAMFORD, Conn. - Aug. 5, 2026 - NBC Sports' Sunday Night Baseball presentation of the Boston Red Sox-Los Angeles Dodgers game this past Sunday averaged a Total Audience Delivery (TAD) of 3.8 million viewers across NBC and Peacock, based on official Nielsen Big Data + Panel and digital data from Adobe Analytics, marking the first time in Sunday Night Baseball history (since cable ratings began in 1995) that three consecutive games have topped 3 million viewers.
Boston defeated Los Angeles, 8-4, this past Sunday night, Aug. 3. With a TAD of 3.8 million viewers on NBC and Peacock (7:20-10:29 p.m. ET), the game followed Dodgers-Yankees on July 19 (3.9 million viewers) and Yankees-Phillies on July 26 (3.2 million viewers) to complete the record streak. Sunday night's game peaked with 4.4 million viewers during the 9:45 p.m. ET quarter hour.
Sunday's 3.8 million viewers ranked as the third most-watched MLB game of the season -- all delivered by NBC Sports -- behind Yankees-Red Sox on June 28 (4.0 million viewers) and Dodgers-Yankees on July 19 (3.9 million). It also marked the fifth Sunday Night Baseball game this season on NBC and Peacock to average at least 3 million viewers, the most since 2010. By averaging 2.8 million viewers this season on NBC and Peacock, Sunday Night Baseball viewership is up 62% year to date.
Sunday Night Baseball continues this Sunday, Aug. 9 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock, as AL Triple Crown leader Yordan Alvarez and the first-place Houston Astros visit seven-time All-Star Manny Machado and the San Diego Padres, who are currently two games back of an NL Wild Card berth.
