(from ABC's press release, May 2012) "America's Funniest Home Videos" begins its 23nd season by flaunting what has made it the longest running primetime entertainment show in ABC history -- videos that are genuinely funny. Host Tom Bergeron is back with an abundant supply of fresh clips that will have families laughing from coast to coast. There have been many imitators, but there is only one "America's Funniest Home Videos." In its 23 seasons to date, "America's Funniest Home Videos" has given away over $12 million in prize money and evaluated more than half a million videotapes from home viewers.
