DESCRIPTION:
(from Amazon's web site, June 2017) The main character, Gen Shimura, was born and raised in Asakusa Rokku, commonly known as the origin of the Fighting Festival, and is popular with Asakusa residents. While helping out at his family's striptease theater, England Theater, Gen lives in his beloved Asakusa with his fellow rickshaw dealer Makoto, freeter Jimmy, and stupid boy Matsun. One day, he meets Kyoko, who works part-time at a takoyaki shop, and they instantly fall in love. Meanwhile, as usual, he is a pub Norio-chan pawn run by his senior, Norio! While having fun with his friends, the bloody soba restaurant owner collapses. I heard that he was suddenly beaten by a thug wearing a monkey mask. Amid new encounters and farewells, mysterious incidents occur one after another in Asakusa. The development of Asakusa begins without mercy. Gen and others say, "We will protect our precious Asakusa!" This is the story of several weeks when greedy humans destroyed Asakusa and scrambled for it. (c) Cluster
