DESCRIPTION:
(from Netflix's press release, December 2025) Today, Netflix announced that Marjorie Estiano and Any Gabrielly will star in Habeas Corpus (working title), an upcoming drama series with a gripping legal plot inspired by a real case that was reviewed after a conviction. The ensemble also features Danton Mello, Marisa Orth, Naruna Costa, Natália Lage, and Vladimir Brichta. Inspired by the work of the Innocence Project Brasil, a national organization dedicated to overturning wrongful convictions, the series follows a law professor (Marjorie Estiano) who leads a post-conviction review group in an effort to prove the innocence of a young man unjustly convicted. What she doesn't know is that her brightest student (Any Gabrielly) is seeking justice for a tragic wrongdoing. |
