DESCRIPTION:
(from MTV's press release, November 2011) MTV announced today the premiere of new scripted comedy series "I Just Want My Pants Back," with a special one-hour debut on Thursday, February 2 at 11 p.m. ET/PT, following an all-new episode of "Jersey Shore." From acclaimed director and executive producer Doug Liman ("Mr. and Mrs. Smith, "Swingers," "Go," "Bourne Identity") and based on David J. Rosen's novel of the same name, "I Just Want My Pants Back" follows the triumphs and misadventures of a group of friends as they navigate post-college life in Brooklyn. The first two episodes will air back-to-back, and the 12 episode half-hour series will air regularly on Thursday nights from 11:00-11:30 p.m. ET/PT, following MTV's hit series "Jersey Shore." The pilot episode aired as a special sneak peek after the 2011 Video Music Awards on August 28, and averaged a 4.9 P12-34 rating and 5.1 million total viewers. Struggling with sex, love, career and friendship as a young twenty-something living in Brooklyn, the series follows Jason Strider, played by Peter Vack. Jason puts hanging with his friends, going to bars and hooking up above his entry level job where he's the lowest rung at a casting agency, and dreams of being in music journalism-but has no idea how to get there. It's not until a one night stand steals his heart and his pants, that he begins a quest to get his beloved jeans back, and hopefully the girl, while also growing up along the way.
