DESCRIPTION:
(from TBS's press release, February 2013) TBS has ordered a second season of its unique new competition series King of the Nerds. The series, which currently airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) on TBS, is set to wrap its first season on March 7. The network has ordered eight episodes for the second season of King of the Nerds, with plans for the show to return in 2014. Hosted by actors Robert Carradine (Revenge of the Nerds, The Long Riders) and Curtis Armstrong (Revenge of the Nerds, Ray), King of the Nerds features competitors from across the nerd spectrum facing challenges that test their intellect, ingenuity, skills and pop-culture prowess. The nerds live together in "Nerdvana," competing first as teams before moving on to individual challenges. In the end, only one competitor will be named the quintessential master of all things nerdy, winning the $100,000 prize. |
