(from Netflix's press release, July 2017) Netflix, the world's leading internet television network, is set to begin principal photography today of the anticipated new original series, La Casa de las Flores. The acclaimed creator and director of the series, Manolo Caro, will work alongside the actresses Veronica Castro (The Rich also Cry, Rosa Salvaje), Aislinn Derbez (A la Mala, Win it All) and Cecilia Suarez (Capadocia, Tales of an Immoral couple) in the upcoming dark comedy. La Casa de las Flores revolves around a seemingly successful and idyllic family-run flower business full of dysfunctional secrets. One day, the patriarch finds out his longtime mistress has suddenly passed away and he decides to bring their children into the household alongside his current wife and family who didn't know they existed. The series explores the need to protect and forgive loved ones, no matter how uncomfortable.
