DESCRIPTION:
(from Cartoon Network's press release, November 2015) The holidays can be a chaotic time for any family; throw in a few bejeweled crowns, lofty titles, and an entire kingdom and you've got Cartoon Network Studios' newest original miniseries, Long Live the Royals. Created by Sean Szeles (supervising producer, Regular Show) and based on his Emmy(R) Award-winning animated short, the four-night holiday event begins Monday, November 30 at 7:45 p.m. (ET/PT). Long Live the Royals is a sitcom thatfocuses on a modern royal family living in an old-fashioned world. They oversee matters of the State while managing typical family dynamics, and they balance current technologies with medieval traditions. Join them as they try to keep it together while navigating the week-long Yule Hare Festival where there will be delicious food, exciting frights, singing forest men and most importantly, much laughter. Filled with all the humor and heart that is core to a Cartoon Network show, Long Live the Royals features a voice cast of some of comedy's brightest talents, with Jon Daly as blowhard King Rufus, Wendi McLendon-Covey as image-focused Queen Eleanor, Gillian Jacobs as punk rock Princess Rosalind, Kieran Culkin as shy Prince Peter and Nicki Rapp as royal pain Prince Alex. Peter Serafinawicz, Horatio Sanz, Fred Armisen, Alfred Molina, Ellie Kemper, Ken Marino and more also lend their voices to the fun.
