DESCRIPTION:
(from HBO Max's web site, September 2020) Inspired by a true story, The Murders at White House Farm takes place in 1985 England following the gruesome killings of June and Nevill Bamber, their daughter Sheila, and Sheila’s twin sons. While the initial evidence points to Sheila, who suffered from a history of mental illness, Detective Stan Jones refuses to accept this and dives into an investigation of his own. As Stan uncovers new evidence that shines suspicion on one of the surviving family members, a disastrous combination of conflicting testimonies and institutional inertia stand in the way of his quest for justice.
