DESCRIPTION:
(from The CW's web site, April 2024) Picking up five months after the end of Season 3, we find Texas Ranger Cordell Walker, played by Jared Padalecki (“Supernatural”), in an era of change. His children are fleeing the nest, his romance with Geri (Odette Annable, “Supergirl”) is taking hold, and turmoil is finding Ranger HQ. Ever since the day his daughter Stella (Violet Brinson, “Sharp Objects”) was born, Walker had an idea of what the next 20 years of his life would like, and now he’s suddenly in uncharted territory — in more ways than one. As Walker struggles to accept this new future, a case from his past threatens to upend his life - and the lives of those he loves. Because, as Walker feared at Captain James’(Coby Bell, “The Game”) wedding, a serial killer they dubbed “The Jackal” is very much back. With a haunt-your-dreams MO, Walker knows this case nearly broke James in the past and resolves to do everything in his power to keep his friend from learning about the killer’s return until it’s absolutely essential. He can’t let James spiral again. But you know what they say about secrets… When Cassie (Ashley Reyes, “How I Met Your Father”) returns to Austin after her stint with the FBI task force, Walker and Trey (Jeff Pierre, “Once Upon a Time”) read her in but swear her to secrecy. Cassie also is introduced to their investigative partner from Corpus Cristi PD, David Luna (Justin Johnson Cortez, “Walker Independence”). Though the work Cassie and Luna find themselves in is harrowing, the tension between the two is equally undeniable. Meanwhile Stella is off at her first semester of college. Even though it’s local, she’s distant from the family as she deals with the fallout of the break-in, she and Sadie (Saylor Bell, “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”) walked in on at the end of last season. It may have been self-defense, but did Stella really kill a man? What happened to the body after she left? Stella is wracked with guilt. And since she lied to Liam (Keegan Allen, “Pretty Little Liars”)and to the police about the events of that night, Stella hasn’t been able to talk to anyone about it. As she, Sadie, and eventually August (Kale Culley, “Me, Myself and I”) learn more about the break-in, it will lead them onto a dangerous journey deep into the Walker and Rawlins shared family history... In season 4, Walker and those he loves, will be forced to confront the demons of the past. Some will succumb and falter. Others will prevail. But one thing will become clear for the Walker family - The only way out is through. WALKER is written and executive produced by Anna Fricke (“Being Human,” “Valor”), and executive produced by Dan Lin and Lindsey Liberatore, Jared Padalecki, Russel Friend, John Patterson and Steve Robin. WALKER is from CBS Studios in association with Rideback, Pursued By A Bear and Stick To Your Guns.
