While many network television series build a foundation that relies heavily on the "will they/won't they" question of a potential coupling, CBS's newest sitcom "Mad Love," which premieres tonight in the post-"How I Met Your Mother" time slot (8:30/7:30c), marks the beginning of a new romance as the comedy's starting point. Created by "Scrubs" veteran Matt Tarses, the series stars Sarah Chalke and Jason Biggs as two single New Yorkers who meet and fall in love in the pilot episode while respective best friends Judy Greer and Tyler Labine look on with just the right comedic blend of skepticism and reluctant support. To help launch the latest in a current slew of romantic-based sitcoms, Sony Pictures Television, which produces the series, hosted a junket last week at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills with Chalke, Biggs, Greer and Labine fielding questions from reporters, including our Jim Halterman.
