CatchCon 2011 Takes Seattle by Storm in Anticipation of Tuesday's DEADLIEST CATCH Premiere
Over 1,000 DEADLIEST CATCH fans journeyed from across the U.S. and as far as India and Poland to Seattle to attend CatchCon 2011, the Emmy Award-winning series' third annual fan festival, on April 9. Attendees had a chance to meet the captains and crews, tour the F/V Northwestern and F/V Wizard and watch an advanced preview of the new season. Tens of thousands of fans also watched CatchCon live online at CatchConNow.com, connecting with fellow fans in anticipation of the premiere of DEADLIEST CATCH on Tuesday, April 12 at 9PM ET/PT on Discovery Channel.
The captains on their breaking point and lack of sleep, a touching audience moment, the crews on family ties at home and at sea and fan reactions.
The seventh season of DEADLIEST CATCH features new blood, uncovers old wounds and exposes rivalries that never die. The crews of the Cornelia Marie, Kodiak, Northwestern, Time Bandit and Wizard all return and two new boats join the fleet this season: the Ramblin' Rose and the Seabrooke. Fans can also check in on GetGlue each Tuesday night to earn 16 episodic stickers throughout the season featuring their favorite captains, crew members and boats.
