NEW YORK - August 2, 2016 - Today, SHOWTIME released the key art and first footage from season four of its critically-acclaimed drama series MASTERS OF SEX. Premiering on Sunday, September 11th at 10 p.m. ET/PT, MASTERS OF SEX stars Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Michael Sheen and Emmy nominee Lizzy Caplan as real-life pioneers of human sexuality, William Masters and Virginia Johnson. Season four begins in 1968 and will take viewers into the "swinging '70s," during which time the series' characters will take on new partners both professionally, personally and sexually.

As the late 60's become the early 70's, MASTERS OF SEX is all about revolution. Bras are burning, sex is everywhere, and Masters and Johnson reap the benefits and the pressures of the revolution they've let loose in the world. Beginning the season at odds and burdened by lies, they slowly switch roles in both their work and the bedroom. MASTERS OF SEX also stars Caitlin FitzGerald and Tony(R) Award winner Annaleigh Ashford. Guest stars include Beau Bridges, Sarah Silverman, Niecy Nash, Betty Gilpin, Andre Royo, David Walton, Alysia Reiner, Jeremy Strong and Ashley Zukerman.
