Berlin, 12/03/2021 - Every winter, 19-year-old heiress Vanessa (Valerie Huber) and her loyal clique descend on the exclusive ski resort of Kitzbühel to celebrate the new year (and themselves) and to drown their insecurities, fears and boredom in Champagne. The locals are the complete opposite of the high-society clique, on whose money they depend - envious and disgusted in equal measure. One of the locals is 19-year-old Lisi (Sofie Eifertinger), who is doing everything she can to infiltrate the world of the rich and beautiful. But Lisi isn't driven by a desire for luxury. A year ago, her brother Joseph (Felix Mayr) fell in love with seemingly perfect Vanessa. Shortly afterwards, he died and Lisi doesn't think it was an accident. She has a plan... keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer.
KITZ is a Young Adult Mystery-Drama launching 12/30/2021 exclusively and worldwide on Netflix.
Showrunners for the six-part Netflix series are Producer Vitus Reinbold from Odeon Fiction and Nikolaus Schulz-Dornburg, who was also Head Writer.
KITZ is supported by the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern, the German Motion Picture Fund, the Cine Tirol Film Commission and the Medien- und Filmgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg (Baden-Württemberg Media and Film Society).
