Did someone say cringe? Back to 15, new show with Maisa and Camila Queiroz, premieres on February 25, featuring time travel and plenty of nostalgia
São Paulo, January 17, 2006, Oops... 2022 - Dial-up Internet doesn't help, and neither does a brick cell phone - and if you don't know what that is, you're about to find out. On February 25, the new Brazilian series Back to 15 premieres exclusively on Netflix. Official posters have just been released, and the show is about to transport everyone right back to the year 2006. A fun six-episode series about self-discovery, growing up, love, friendship and family, with a trip through time and a whole lot of issues, it revolves around Anita. She's played by Maisa as a young girl and by Camila Queiroz as an adult.
At 15, Anita dreamed of being older and leaving the small fictional city of Imperatriz to travel around the world. But, as she turns 30, she finds that things haven't gone the way she imagined. When she returns home for her sister's wedding, disastrous events happen, and she takes refuge in her teenage bedroom. When she boots up her old computer, she is magically transported back to her first day of high school. Now, Anita will try to fix the lives of everyone around her, but every change she makes in the past will have an effect on the future - and not always for the best.
Inspired by the book of the same name by author Bruna Vieira, Back to 15 has lots of surprises, laughs and emotion. The cast includes names like Klara Castanho, João Guilherme, Caio Cabral, Pedro Vinícius, Gabriel Wiedemann, Antônio Carrara, Amanda Azevedo, Lucca Picon, Pedro Ottoni, Fernanda Bessan, Mariana Rios, Bruno Montaleone, Alice Marcone, Breno Ferreira, Yana Sardenberg, Gabriel Stauffer, Rafael Coimbra, Fabricio Licursi, Kiko Vianello, Felipe Camargo, and Luciana Braga.
The show was produced by Carolina Alckmin and Mayra Lucas of Glaz Entertainment and directed by Vivi Jundi and Dainara Toffoli. Janaina Tokitaka adapted and scripted the show, and Renata Kochen, Alice Marcone, and Bryan Ruffo also worked on the script.
