It's a Fishy Business! Netflix Releases Premiere Date and Trailer for Billionaire Island - Starring a Star-studded Cast
12 years ago, Netflix launched its very first original series Lilyhammer. The Norwegian series, created by Eilif Skodvin and Anne Bjørnstad, marked the first time Netflix streamed a title across multiple countries and languages. This fall, the creators have reunited with Netflix and will premiere their new Norwegian dramedy Billionaire Island. The series is shot at the island of Frøya, Trøndelag, and depicts Norway's much-talked about and major fish farming industry in a new and humorous way. Trine Wiggen leads the cast as a ruthless owner of a Norwegian fish farming company who plans a hostile takeover of her local rival to become the world's largest salmon producer. Billionaire Island is being released globally on Netflix on September 12.
