SYNOPSIS: In the aftermath of WWI, London is changing as returning soldiers from the front find a society changed by a newly empowered generation of women. In Soho's emerging underground club scene, women begin to seize opportunities, both legal and illegal, and shape the nightlife industry.

Other writers on the series included Matthew Barry, who also acted as EP, and writers Matthew Jacobs Morgan and Xiao Tang. The project has been developed and overseen by Bad Wolf's Director of Content, Dan McCulloch and Chief Creative Officer, Ryan Rasmussen. Dope Girls was commissioned by Lindsay Salt, Director of BBC Drama. Sony Pictures Television handled international distribution.
