Los Angeles - September 11, 2025 - BET+ announced today the upcoming premiere of its twisted new horror-thriller film, FATAL DETOUR, directed and written by B. Harrison Smith. The film will stream exclusively on BET+

In FATAL DETOUR, a demented tech genius lures unsuspecting influencers into his nightmarish mansion by hacking their luxury electric vehicles. Once trapped inside, the group faces the monstrous brute MOFF and his sadistic master. Two ordinary girls, Donna and Laren, who stumble upon the mansion, must fight to survive as they uncover the horrifying secrets behind the EV death trap.

The upcoming film brings together a team led by B. Harrison Smith, who serves as both Director and Writer. The score will be composed by Erick Schroder, whose music sets the tone for the film's suspenseful atmosphere.

Guiding the project are Executive Producers Jason Harvey, Matthew Macur, Jared Safier, and Thomas Walton. Producers Kevin Weisberg and Damien Douglas lead the production.

The film stars D'Kia Anderson (Donna), Shanica Knowles (Laren), Jillisa Lynn (Juli), Aisha Kumari (Aisha), Jarrod Destiche (Blu), Mark Fleischmann (Tenzo), and Pat Jankiewicz (Moff).

D'KIA ANDERSON plays "Donna". Very attractive but possesses natural beauty. Loyal to her friend Laren and definitely not a vanity type. Falling into this unfortunate demise, her key motive is to survive with Laren.

SHANICA KNOWLES as "Laren", Best friend of Donna. She radiates natural beauty. She is ever cynical about anything but has a heart of gold.

JILLISA LYNN as "Juli", a Top-tier model influencer who is now expanding her horizon to be an actress. In addition to her admirable beauty, her claim to fame is through her community outreach appearances in public.

AISHA KUMARI as "Aisha", Ever-jealous friend of Juli. Despite being a stunning influencer herself, she feels that she is always not enough because she knows that she is Juli's sidekick.

JARROD DESTICHE as "Blu" Hot but too pretty to be rugged influencer boyfriend of Juli. He is the typical influencer who is always camera-ready. Every look, every twitch, every blink is calculated for maximum vanity.

MARK FLEISCHMANN as "Tenzo". He started his journey as an inventive entrepreneur with a noble cause, but his frustration with capitalism and vanity led him to go mad.

PAT JANKIEWICZ plays "Moff". He is inhumanly big in size, where he can summon a brutal strength to contort any human beings like they are plastic action figures.
