Netflix Releases the Electrifying Trailer for 'Rulers of Fortune', a Drama Series About an Illegal Gambling Game Known as "Jogo do Bicho"

São Paulo, September 30, 2025 - A position opens up at the very top of the gambling racket known as "jogo do bicho," triggering an unpredictable war over the control of Rio de Janeiro's crime syndicate.Rulers of Fortune, a new drama series from Netflix, now has a trailer showcasing the impressive cast and a glimpse of what's to come. Premiering October 29, the production is set in a world brimming with luxury, ambition and rivalry, and boasts a cast featuring André Lamoglia, Chico Diaz, Giullia Buscaccio, Juliana Paes and Mel Maia, Xamã, among many others.

The trailer introduces the city's dangerous and intense underbelly, as Profeta (André Lamoglia), a new contender for the throne of Rio's criminal underworld, comes to the fore. Determined to secure his place at the top, he faces fierce confrontations and high stakes against powerful families in a game where every move is critical.

The conflicts, which start as a cold war, become increasingly intense on screen, promising to captivate viewers from beginning to end. All of this takes place in a typical Rio de Janeiro setting, featuring vivid contrasts and this magnificent city's iconic landmarks.

Produced by Paranoïd, Rulers of Fortune introduces Netflix Brazil's slate of 'mafia productions', bringing an authentic Rio de Janeiro flavor to the screen. The series was created by Heitor Dhalia (Criminal Code), Bernardo Barcellos, who also wrote the script, and Bruno Passeri. The directors are Heitor Dhalia, Rafael Miranda Fejes and Matias Mariani.

Rulers of Fortune premieres October 29, only on Netflix.
