Baseball is back! Opening Night, the New York Yankees and San Francisco Giants, two iconic franchises, one special night that lets us know winter is over and our favorite pastime has returned. This is no ordinary night. This is the first game of a season full of promises and there's only one place to watch it. This year the MLB season starts on Netflix, March 25.

Netflix Throws Out The First Pitch of the MLB Season with an Iconic Crew of Commentators for Opening Night

The San Francisco Giants host the New York Yankees on March 25, with the Pregame Show beginning at 4 pm PT, LIVE ON NETFLIX

Live from San Francisco, California, Major League Baseball comes to Netflix for the first time as the San Francisco Giants battle the New York Yankees for Opening Night on March 25, 2026. Oracle Park will be the center of the baseball world for the first pitch of 2026, and will feature an all-star cast of commentators to take viewers along for all the action. From one of the greatest home run hitters of all time in Albert Pujols, to Hall of Famer CC Sabathia, to All Stars like Anthony Rizzo and Hunter Pence joining the broadcast, Netflix's baseball experience promises to be full of high-level analysis and unique perspectives on America's pastime. Netflix also anticipates surprise guests to be announced in the coming weeks as well.

Netflix's Opening Night Pregame presented by Adobe begins at 4:00 p.m. PT / 7:00 p.m. ET, with the first pitch of the new campaign being thrown at 5:00 p.m. PT / 8:00 p.m. ET. MLB Network's Emmy Award-winning production team will co-produce the telecast and pre- and postgame coverage in partnership with Netflix. More baseball will come to Netflix later in the year, with the T-Mobile Home Run Derby set for July 13 and MLB at Field of Dreams on August 13.
