OFFICIAL TRAILER DEBUT
Marking the unluckiest of days, this Friday the 13th Netflix debuted the Official Trailer for Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen
"I love horror. It's natural to me," Creator/Showrunner Haley Z. Boston tells TUDUM. "It's the way that I process my own emotions and feelings and my own understanding of the world. Horror allows you to explore taboo feelings and take all of these fears and give them some bite."
"The week leading up to a wedding is such a ripe comparison to walking the plank. You're marching toward your death if it's the wrong choice."
ICYMI - On Monday March 9th, The Paris Theater NYC announced their upcoming film series, Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen: A Walk Down the Aisle with Haley Z. Boston, a selection of films specially curated by the show's creator. The films in this program represent some of the foundational inspirations for Haley Z. Boston's seriously scary vision of potentially making a lifelong commitment to the wrong person.
The film series will run at both the Paris Theater in New York and the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles this month.
ABOUT SOMETHING VERY BAD IS GOING TO HAPPEN
Logline: Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen is an atmospheric horror series set at a wedding, following a bride and groom in the week leading up to their ill-fated nuptials. That's not a spoiler - just read the title.
Synopsis: If Carrie is horror's version of a girl becoming a woman, and Rosemary's Baby is the horrific version of a woman becoming a mother, Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen is horror's take on a woman becoming a wife. Rachel (Camila Morrone) is getting married in five days. Together with her fiancé, Nicky (Adam DiMarco), she embarks on a road trip to his family's vacation home, secluded in a snowy forest, for the intimate wedding ceremony of their dreams. Which really would be so lovely, except ... prone to superstition and paranoia, Rachel can't shake the relentless feeling that something bad is going to happen. Her foreboding doubts, coupled with a series of eerie coincidences and dreadful surprises, force her to ask the question: What makes two people soulmates? And worse - what could be scarier than lifelong commitment to the wrong person?
