Two New Sneak Peeks from Eagerly Anticipated Series "Zorro," Starring Oscar(R) Winner Jean Dujardin, To Premiere June 30 on MHz Choice

Fairfax, VA - Apr. 15, 2026 - Kino Lorber's MHz Choice, the leading streaming service for international dramas and mysteries, has unveiled the first sneak peeks from its eagerly anticipated French language series Zorro, ahead of its North American debut this summer. The comedic new take on the iconic swashbuckling masked hero stars Oscar(R) Lead Actor winner Jean Dujardin (The Artist) and has already generated strong international attention following its run on France 2 and co-producer Paramount+ in select markets. Zorro premieres June 30 exclusively in the U.S. and Canada on MHz Choice, with two new episodes, followed by weekly premieres on Tuesdays through August 11, along with a "making of" special. Zorro was recently selected to screen in the International Spotlight section at this summer's Seriesfest in Denver, Colorado.

This spirited new adaptation is set in 1821, as Don Diego de la Vega (Dujardin) unexpectedly becomes mayor of his beloved city of Los Angeles. As the city faces financial problems due to the greed of a local businessman, Don Emmanuel (Eric Elmosnino), Diego is ultimately driven to revive his long-abandoned alter ego as Zorro for the first time in 20 years, to help save the city. As he takes on corruption, he must juggle life as both mayor and masked vigilante, all while keeping his identity hidden from his wife Gabriella (Audrey Dana). This new eight-episode limited series features a light, playful tone, with visual comedy inspired by legendary filmmaker Ernst Lubitsch.

In the first sneak peek, Diego, newly installed as mayor, quickly realizes calm and reason aren't enough and turns to his loyal, mute servant Bernardo (Salvatore Ficarra), who guides him to a hidden chamber beneath his home. There, Diego rediscovers the iconic mask and costume, tries them on, and begins to reconnect with the man he once was, with glimpses of his past, including his horse Tornado, and a few humorous missteps along the way.

IIn the second sneak peek, Zorro springs fully back into action, rescuing Nakai, a teenage boy unjustly imprisoned. As Diego's wife Gabriella (Audrey Dana) works to secure the boy's release - unaware she is face-to-face with her husband behind the mask, Zorro takes on the authorities in a burst of swordplay, signaling his long-awaited return and renewed fight for justice.

Shot entirely in Spain, the series was created by Benjamin Charbit (Under Control, Gagarine, Notre Dame, Savages, The Trouble with You) and Noé Debré (Parliament, Stillwater, Dheepan), who serve as co-writers alongside Emmanuel Poulain-Arnaud (The Test). The series was directed by Jean-Baptiste Saurel (Parallels) and Emilie Noblet (Parliament,The 7 Lives of Lea). It was produced by Le Collectif 64 (Marc Dujardin), Bien Sûr Productions (Julien Seul) and Montebello Productions (François Ivernel), in co-production with Panache Productions (André Logie and Gaëtan David), RTL-Tvi and Wallimage.
