STARRING ALÍCIA FALCÓ, PABLO ÁLVAREZ AND GEORGINA AMORÓS, THE MINISERIES BRINGS ALICE KELLEN'S BESTSELLING NOVEL TO THE SCREEN AND ARRIVES ON NETFLIX ON JULY 17
Netflix today unveiled the official trailer and new images for The Map of Longing, the miniseries starring Alícia Falcó, Pablo Álvarez, and Georgina Amorós. The series is an adaptation of the novel by Spanish author Alice Kellen, published by Planeta, and will premiere on Netflix on July 17.
The Map of Longing tells the moving story of Greta (Alicia Falcó), who claims she was born with the purpose of saving her sister Lucy (Georgina Amorós), who suffers from leukemia, through her stem cells. However, events take an unexpected turn and Lucy passes away, leaving Greta with a deep existential void. Before departing, Lucy creates "the map of longing," a game that challenges Greta to face her grief and discover her own path. On this journey, Greta will meet Will (Pablo Álvarez), an enigmatic young man with a haunting past. Can we love someone without loving ourselves?
The miniseries stars Alícia Falcó (Dieciocho, Billionaires' Bunker) as Greta, Pablo Álvarez (Memento Mori, La Favorita 1922) as Will, and Georgina Amorós (Segunda muerte, In Love All Over Again, Elite) as Lucy. The cast is rounded out by Laia Marull (La terra negra, La inocencia), Mario de la Rosa (Money Heist, Welcome to Eden), and Ramón Barea (Cuatro paredes, Everybody Knows), among others.
The Map of Longing is directed by Laura M. Campos and Gemma Ferraté, with Isa Sánchez as the screenwriter, and produced by Brutal Media, with Arlette Peyret and Raimon Masllorens serving as executive producers.
