Sweetly Tangled, Hopelessly Stuck: 'Our Sticky Love' Unveils Main Poster and Trailer
Premiering August 7, romcom series Our Sticky Love follows Go Eun-sae (Ha Young), a prosecutor who lost her memory, and Jang Tae-ha (Jung Hae-in), a boxing coach who claims to be her boyfriend. As the two end up living together, a strange arrangement in a small town turns into a quirky, sweet romance. Jung Hae-in and Ha Young promise to bring to life an offbeat love story to life with easy chemistry and humor.
"It's a heart-warming, feel-good romantic comedy," says director Kim Jang-han. "It's a story about building love that binds two people as tightly as sticky, sweet Korean taffy. The series' irresistible charm will leave you unable to pull yourself away, just like getting stuck to Korean taffy before you even realize it," adds the director, further heightening anticipation.
The main trailer offers a glimpse of their rocky beginning in the Taffy Village in Gujin-gun. Eun-sae wakes up in a strange hospital in a rural town with all of her memories lost. Before she makes sense of anything, Tae-ha appears, calmly claiming to be her boyfriend. His shabby appearance could not be further from Go Eun-sae's usual taste, and the quiet small town lined with traditional taffy shops and its peculiar residents feels alien and uncomfortable to her. Unable to make sense of her surroundings, she remains confused and finds herself unable to trust a word from Tae-ha, her supposed boyfriend.
Yet Tae-ha's warmth and steady affection slowly begin to unsettle her defenses. His obvious admiration leaves Eun-sae flustered, and despite herself, she starts to smile more around him. Just as their relationship seems to be softening, Tae-ha's serious warning that they can't let anyone find out about them hints at a deeper secret beneath their story. Questions build around what he's hiding, why Eun-sae is said to be safest by his side, and what really happened to bind them together so tightly.
Our Sticky Love streams August 7, only on Netflix.
